Do you dream of running your own Sheffield restaurant?

March 3rd, 2009 Cheffy

We’ve been contacted by the BBC to help seek out the budding restaurateurs in Sheffield.

Raymond Blanc is back and in this time of recession and gloom has an exciting opportunity for all aspiring restaurateurs! The series had huge success last year on BBC 2, when nine couples battled it out over eight weeks to gain the support of Raymond and run their own restaurant.  Now, the show is back for a third series and Sheffield is in the frame!

Raymond Blanc will once again be giving couples the opportunity to try their luck as restaurateurs and seeing if they can rise to the challenges he throws at them. With the tough economic climate forcing many high street restaurants out of business, this year’s couples will need to be the best yet.

The BBC want to hear from any couples who think they too could run a restaurant. It doesn’t matter if you are married, friends, siblings, relatives, partners, or colleagues – anyone over the age of 18 can apply. Experience of a restaurant or catering environment isn’t necessary but whether you’re a chef or a cleaner, a waiter or writer, Raymond wants to hear from people who are passionate about food and the dining experience.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, go to www.bbc.co.uk/restaurant for more information, or to request an application form email: therestaurant@bbc.co.uk or call: 03700 104 515 – we’re told that calls to this number cost no more than calls to 01 / 02 geographic numbers, although call charges from mobiles may vary.

The application closing date is 31st March 2009.

Of course, if you are selected, we’d love to hear from you!
