Moroccan Night at Otto’s Restaurant Sheffield

Otto’s Restaurant on Sharrowvale Road are having a special Moroccan Night on Sunday 11th July 2010 at 7.30pm.

The evening will feature a  three course Moroccan menu and the mystical mood will be heightened with live belly dancing from Sofire Rose.  Diners are invited to dress Moroccan style to get into the swing of things!  There will be a range of Moroccan and Tunisian wines to try for £3.50 a glass, or you can take advantage of the ‘bring your own wine  policy’ for a corkage charge of £2 per bottle.

The Moroccan Night is £25.50 per person and a deposit of £5 per person is required to book – places are limited, so book early if you want to go.

Great news for sushi lovers – we now have on-line booking facilities for YO! Sushi at Sheffield’s Meadowhall Centre.

YO! Sushi are styled on the Japanese ‘Kaiten’ Sushi restaurant system, so a conveyor belt rotates with colour coded dishes, from which diners can select their meal.  With Sushi being  revered as a healthy food, maybe this restaurant gives us a chance to eat healthily whilst having fun at the same time – two things that don’t often fit into the same sentence these days!

Sheffield will soon be hosting the 13th annual Skills for Chefs Conference, which will take place on the 5 & 6 July at the Octagon Centre, The University of Sheffield.

This year’s event boasts a stellar line up of Michelin Starred chefs and many of the chefs have been winners on the TV programme ‘Great British Menu’.

The line up includes Giorgio Locatelli, Mark Hix, Atul Kochhar, Glynn Purnell, Theo Randall, Claude Bosi and many others.

The chefs will be rattling the pans in the conference kitchen and delegates will learn culinary tips in addition to finding out what motivates these highly respected chefs. Attendance starts from £75 for a day of your choice including lunch. Further details can be found at Skills for Chefs.

Sex and the City offer at the Walnut Club

You can toast the success of latest film blockbuster Sex and the City 2 in appropriate style at Sheffield’s trendy Walnut Live restaurant, with a two-for-one offer on cosmopolitans – the NY girls’ favorite cocktail.
