Restaurants are planning ahead for Christmas already..
Hmmph, today is apparently the ‘meteorological’ first day of Autumn. Did we miss the summer somehow?
We’re still hoping for a bit of an Indian summer for a last blast of sunshine, but have to admit that down on our veg plot there are definite signs of slowing growth in the summer crops, so it looks as if they agree with the Met Office at least.
As we all change gear and start to prepare for our winter woolies and boots, we do at least have a few festivities to look forward to, with Halloween and Bonfire Night on the horizon.
We’ve just spotted a nice offer for November dining at Cafe Rouge in Sheffield too, where you can get three courses for the price of two plus a glass of bubbly via one of their online booking offers.
And, brace yourself because their online Christmas deals are also out and other restaurants will no doubt be gearing up for the festive season too. Don’t shoot the messenger!
